Well some of us adult have very limited time to play video games. I get to play maybe 1-1.5 hrs a day after the family are in bed. We don't have infinite amounts of time to hone our gaming skills for every game and to start over because of it.
I think that's his point. He read that if you die a lot, your save get erased. He doesn't like that and isn't going to buy the game.
I just finished the PS4 version of it last night. I liked it, but I thought the story was kind of ho-hum and I was hoping it was more of a globe trotting adventure then just two locations.

I completed the first Crash game and I suck at platform games. I remember getting stuck on certain levels for days before finally passing them. Ahhh the good ole days. People don't have the patience anymore.
I played the game back when it came out. When the old Playstation symbol came up during UC4, I couldn't help but smile.

Here's an idea. If you don't like a game, don't play it and don't read about it. I really dislike Madden and Cod and somehow I'm able to avoid playing them and going in articles to comment about how much I dislike them. It's rather a simple strategy, you should give it a try.
